• Corporate Associate

    London

  • Job description

A highly regarded mid-tier City firm is looking to grow its corporate practice at associate level and seeks applications from bright, ambitious corporate lawyers, preferably with at least 2PQE.

It would be an ideal environment for a lawyer coming from a smaller City or major regional firm looking for a "step up" or from a larger City corporate team who wishes to have a broader range of work and a much greater client facing role.

The team deals with a range of corporate M&A (public and private) and private equity work, operating across a number of sectors including financial services, energy and natural resources, life sciences and TMT.

Associates are able to gain broad corporate experience across each area, working for several partners across the group, and are also encouraged to take an active role in client networking.

  • If you think you'd be perfect for this role, we'd love to hear from you

  • Candidate Services

At gmk we place lawyers from Newly Qualified to Partner/Head of Legal level, both in private practice and In-House. We offer honest knowledgeable career advice to all of our candidates using market knowledge gained since our inception in 1998.

We work in partnership with you and promise all of our candidates the following:

    • A one to one relationship with your own consultant (most of whom are ex lawyers themselves)
    • Honest career advice throughout - from CV drafting, interview advice, through to offer stage negotiations
    • A professional service where we always obtain your express consent before sending out your CV, return your phone calls and keep you updated throughout the process
    • A client base encompassing all major law firms ensuring you have access to the widest range of jobs on the market

You will probably find us more proactive than other agencies - instead of merely matching you to existing vacancies we apply imagination and lateral thinking to uncover the perfect position for you. Alternatively it may not be the right time for you to move - we will advise you if that is the case.

If you are not actively seeking a new job we are always on hand to advise on matters such as salary levels, current market conditions, or career planning. Our aim is to establish a long term relationship with you, where we can advise and assist you through the various stages of your career.
