• Assistant Portfolio Accountant

    We are looking for an Assistant Portfolio Accountant to join our team based at our head office in Aldgate.

    In this role, you will provide essential support to the portfolio accountancy team which will ensure that the accuracy and integrity all accounting records within the designated property portfolio are maintained. 

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for audit purposes.
    • Providing support with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and adhoc financial reports for the client.
    • Liaising with property managers and other departments as required.
    • Liaising as appropriate with colleagues within other accounting departments in order to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of all accounting records.
    • Acting as a first point of contact for all queries to the department, escalating as required.
    • Setting up new clients onto the system and assisting with the processing of service charges.

     Skills and Experience:

    • Working towards the possession of a recognised accounting qualification (i.e. ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
    • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Previous experience of working within the property management sector (highly desirable)

    This is a fixed term position up until October 2019

    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

    Salary: £23,000 to £27,000 per annum (depending on candidate experience)
